Have you ever just sat outside and watched a thunderstorm build up and swirl around you? I'd forgotten how amazing it can be. It always gets me thinking... which is something I don't do often enough. Maybe I'm the only one who is this way, but if I ever just sit and stop and think... it usually ends up taking me places where I really don't want to go - which used to include the bottom of a bottle.

...but enough of that. Tonight was different - I actually came to realize something that's been staring me in the face for AGES. I'm alone in this world - at least for now. And I'm okay with that.

These meaningless relationships which we feel forced to throw ourselves into in todays society are just like a drag off of a cigarette. It's an intangible wisp of... something. You draw it in, and it fills you for a moment - but just a moment. As soon as you exhale, it drifts off into the winds, never to be seen again. Once it's gone, you feel even emptier than you did before...

For those of you who have found real, meaningful relationships that will stand the test of time, I congratulate you - and, I admit, I envy you. I just don't have the patience to slog through the muck of today's 'dating game' to find a prize worth winning.

But that's just my two cent's worth on the issue.
